According to some surveys, number of people who have heard of Metaverse and knows about concept of metaversum has doubled from 2021 to 2022. In spite of that, most of the people is still unsure of what kind of technology is it, who is working on it and how will it affect their lives. In cooperation with Meta, online learning platform Coursera recently presented a course on Metaverse. The course is exclusivly on Coursera and is mad both for individuals and amateurs as for profesionals and companies. Its free and at the moment already more than 12 000 people enrolled.
Course was created by expert who are also included in building the Metaverse. Here, their knowledge is converted to written and video materials and quizes. Students will explore different components of metaverse and its future role in different industries. Also, they will get familiar with new technologies of XR and NFTs. It doesn’t require any prior knowledge or experience and the whole course lasts about 10-16 hours.

We designed this curriculum with Coursera to help people understand the metaverse and the opportunities it will unlock. Our vision for the metaverse is for it to be inclusive and built collaboratively. This course is one of the ways we hope to inspire and train more people, businesses and creators to get started in developing for the metaverse and shape the future.
