Microsoft Azure has partnered with NVIDIA to offer access to powerful industrial metaverse and AI supercomputing resources through the cloud to hundreds of millions of enterprise users. Azure will host two new cloud offerings from NVIDIA, including NVIDIA Omniverse Cloud, a platform-as-a-service that offers instant access to a full-stack environment for designing, developing, deploying, and managing industrial metaverse applications. Additionally, Azure will offer NVIDIA DGX Cloud, an AI supercomputing service that provides immediate access to infrastructure and software for training advanced models for generative AI and other innovative applications.

The collaboration also connects Microsoft 365 applications, such as Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint, with NVIDIA Omniverse, a platform for building and operating 3D industrial metaverse applications. This will accelerate digitalization efforts and enable advanced model training for generative AI and other applications.

Moreover, enterprises can link real-time data from sensors in the physical world to their digital replicas through Omniverse connected to Azure Cloud Services Digital Twins and the Internet of Things. This will enable companies to build and operate more accurate, dynamic, fully functional 3D digital twins that automatically respond to changes in their physical environments.

With Azure providing cloud infrastructure and capabilities, such as security, identity, and storage, enterprises can deploy services at scale. DGX Cloud will be available running in Azure beginning next quarter, providing enterprises with dedicated clusters of NVIDIA DGX AI supercomputing and software rented on a monthly basis.

Accenture also demonstrated the utility of integrating NVIDIA Omniverse with Microsoft Teams to enable real-time 3D collaboration during a GTC keynote demo. Running on Omniverse Cloud and leveraging a Teams Meeting featuring Live Share, the demo showcased how this integration can shorten the time between decision-making, action, and feedback.

In conclusion, Microsoft Azure’s collaboration with NVIDIA brings cutting-edge technology to enterprise users, enabling them to accelerate digitalization efforts and engage in the industrial metaverse while also training advanced models for generative AI and other groundbreaking applications.
