A virtual tour in the time of the coronavirus pandemic has seen its boom. A large number of tourist boards, cities and municipalities in this way have enabled their old and new visitors to enjoy destinations at least through modern technology.
This trend was joined by the Tourist Board of Trogir and the City of Trogir, which brought the sights of their locations closer to virtual visitors. Before choosing a destination, tourists explore the locations they plan to visit, and a virtual tour is an ideal tool that can further help them in this.
The virtual tour also has an educational component and in Croatian and English through info points visitors can find out interesting facts about the recorded locations. As part of the project, a large number of tourist photos were taken, and you can experience the captured locations through a promotional video. All this was taken care of by the digital agency L33T in cooperation with the tourist board and the city of Trogir.
The project shows the core of the city of Trogir and the attractions of destinations that are in the tourist offer, and about which you can find out in more detail through the implemented info points in a virtual tour. For such a successful project, 61 virtual panoramas were taken, and more than 3000 photographs from the air and from the ground and over 90 minutes of recorded materials for the production of promotional video entered the production.
The virtual tour is supported on all platforms and devices directly through the internet browser. The interface displays panoramas in a resolution of more than 200 MP and thus gives the ability to view even the smallest details on each recorded location. Multi-resolution scaling ensures fluidity and fast loading of content.
Add to this that the virtual tour is fully VR supported, so it is possible to take the experience of use to an even higher level through all types of VR glasses.
